Genetic Testing

Our genetic tests are designed to provide deeper insight into inherited health risks and personal health traits. For all genetic testing, a genetic counselling service is included as part of your care, providing expert support to help you understand your results, their implications, and any recommended next steps in a clear and supportive way.

Your Genetic Testing Journey

Before testing, we will discuss your health, the reason for testing and relevant family history. This helps identify whether a genetic test is appropriate and which panel is most suitable.

Genetic counselling is included in the price of your test. Where appropriate, you will have access to a genetic counsellor to discuss the test, understand your result and consider what it may mean for you and your family.

Important information

Genetic testing assesses inherited risk or genetic causes; it does not diagnose every condition or predict with certainty whether someone will develop a disease. Results are interpreted alongside your personal health, family history and any relevant clinical findings. Some results may require referral to an NHS clinical genetics service or another appropriate specialist for further assessment and management.
