Before your appointment
- Email any previous blood test results to us before your appointment so your clinician can review them.
- Have recent blood pressure readings, your height and your current weight available. Contact us beforehand if you are unable to obtain these.
- Have details of your medicines and supplements available, and tell us about any current or previous testosterone or anabolic steroid use.
- Join from a quiet, private space using a phone, tablet or computer with a working camera, microphone and reliable internet connection.
- No fasting is needed for the consultation alone. If blood testing is arranged, follow the preparation instructions provided.
Results & follow-up
Your initial blood test will be a basic hormone profile to assess your testosterone levels — total testosterone, free testosterone, SHBG and albumin — arranged at a Randox clinic close to you.
If your results are low or borderline, we will require a full screening blood test four weeks after your initial test — including a repeat testosterone measurement and wider health checks to assess your suitability for treatment. Both blood tests must be taken in the morning, following the preparation instructions provided.
Your clinician will review your results and explain the recommended next steps — which may include further investigations, lifestyle advice or, if appropriate, a personalised TRT plan.
Price & payment
£125 includes your initial online TRT consultation, clinical assessment and advice. As this is an online appointment, full payment is required at the time of booking — no separate deposit is taken. Blood tests, medication and follow-up consultations are charged separately.

For patients already on TRT — arranged when due
About this appointment
A confidential video consultation with Matthew Smith ANP to review your progress on TRT, discuss your symptoms and assess your ongoing treatment. Reviews are normally arranged at 3, 6 and 12 months after starting treatment, with earlier or additional appointments where clinically needed — your clinician will confirm your monitoring schedule.
What is included
- A TRT follow-up consultation to review symptoms, treatment response, side effects and concerns.
- Review of your medication, dose schedule and any changes to your health.
- Review of your available blood pressure readings and other relevant health information.
- Guidance on arranging suitable monitoring blood tests through Randox.
- Clinical review of your monitoring results when available, with treatment advice and next steps.
Blood collection and laboratory testing are arranged separately through Randox and are not included in the consultation fee.
What do the blood tests check?
Your clinician will confirm the appropriate Randox blood-test profile before booking. Monitoring may include:
- Hormones: testosterone, SHBG and oestradiol, with additional hormone tests where clinically appropriate.
- Full blood count: including haemoglobin and haematocrit, to monitor changes in red blood cell levels.
- Selected liver markers: ALT, ALP and albumin.
- Prostate marker: total PSA, where appropriate, interpreted alongside your history and previous results.
Before your appointment
- Email any relevant previous or recent blood test results to us before your appointment.
- Have recent blood pressure readings, your height and your current weight available. Contact us beforehand if you are unable to obtain these.
- Have details of your medicines and supplements available, including your testosterone dose, schedule and when you last took or applied it.
- Tell us about any side effects, changes to your health or changes to your fertility plans.
- Join from a quiet, private space with a working camera, microphone and reliable internet connection.
- No fasting is needed for the video consultation alone.
For your separately arranged Randox blood test:
- Confirm the timing with us before booking. This depends on whether you use testosterone injections, gel or capsules and when you take your dose.
- Follow the preparation and fasting instructions provided. Do not change your medication schedule unless instructed.
- If PSA is being measured, avoid ejaculation, anal sex, cycling and strenuous exercise for 48 hours before the blood test.
- Contact us before testing if you are unwell, have had a recent urine infection or prostate procedure, or take supplements containing biotin.
Important to know
This appointment is for patients already receiving TRT. It includes your online follow-up consultation and clinical review of your monitoring results — blood collection and laboratory testing through Randox are charged separately. An in-person examination or additional health checks may be needed to complete your assessment. Continuing treatment or issuing a prescription depends on satisfactory monitoring and clinical suitability. Do not adjust your TRT dose based on blood results without advice from your prescriber. PSA results cannot diagnose or rule out prostate cancer on their own.
Price & payment
£75 includes your online TRT follow-up consultation, clinical review of your monitoring results and treatment advice. As this is an online appointment, full payment is required at the time of booking — no separate deposit is taken. Randox blood tests, medication, additional investigations and future consultations are charged separately.
